I am a doctoral candidate in the Biomedical engineering program at UNM. Prior to my doctoral training, I earned my undergraduate degree from Anna University at Chennai, India and Master’s degree from UT Arlington & UT Southwestern Medical at Dallas, USA in Biomedical Engineering. I then worked as a Quality Engineer at the Dallas Medical Center (DMC), supporting a broad range of performance improvement designed to enhance care and outcomes for healthcare system at DMC. Then I worked as a Resident engineer with Healthcare Technology Innovation Center (HTIC) at the IIT-Madras Research Park. I am currently a Doctoral student working in Dr. Meeko Oishi’s Hybrid Systems and Control Lab, ECE at University of New Mexico. My research interests include studying and improving living standards for individuals with neurodegenerative conditions, particularly Parkinson’s and Duchene Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). My current work includes investigation of Motor performance and control in Parkinson’s disease.
